Undefeated Jr. Lightweight Mario Barrios (15-0, 8 KOs) hails from San Antonio, Texas, and if he's half as good as his nickname, 'The Golden Boy,' then he'll be a great boxer to say the least. Barrio possesses very fast hands and the 20-year old had a hectic schedule last year by winning seven bouts [five by stoppage].
One of those victims that Mario stopped, via a vicious uppercut, was Manuel Vides. 'The Golden Boy' started boxing at age seven. By eight, he had already become a local attraction in the San Antonio area by winning amateur tournaments. What makes Barrios even more unique is his tall [6 feet] and already impressive skill set for his age! The Jr. Lightweight division should start to take notice now, because after a couple more bouts, this kid is coming to attempt to snatch the throne!
